connotations photo exercise - planning

strength -

For strength we thought about this shoot to being different to what most people would think about when they hear the word strength. We mixed the shorts, knowledge and strength. we used the quote 'knowledge is power' as the message behind this shoot. With this image we used a medium shot which means that it is shot from around the waist and shows different body language, costume and emotion. We have used the eye level an

loneliness -

For this image we used a close up shot which means that all we can see is the persons face so that means that we are able to see the pain in her eyes, you can see that no one is there with her so it shows that she is on her own with no one around. We associated the dark room as when your alone you normally in a dark place wen your feeling low

love -

For this image we thought a different way of showing emotions, for this we used my phone and my keys the reason for this is because I am obsessed with this band and this is the way that I show it. For this image we used a birds eye view shoot so we are able to capture the full thing and are able to show all of the images of the people that are involved.

poverty -

For this image we used a close up to shot, i took of my rings to show that we couldn't afford anything, we have the dead grass in the background and we have the 2p to show that there is nothing else we could get. We used a birds of view to get in s much details as we could. By having the dead grass in the background we can show that they couldn't even afford to keep things around them alive not only themselves as poverty isn't always about money. 

Fear -

This shoot was inspired by how empty and enclosed this alley is, i have also had a bad memory down this alley so every time i walk down the alley i always have the fear that it will happen again, we used a long shot for this image so we are able to see the emotion in the persons face and we are also able to see the background and the surroundings. We used an eye level shot so we are able to see the point pf view of the person and it gives us an idea of how the person pay be feeling. 

Desire -

We had an idea for desire in wanting something but not being sure if you can afford it, we thought if we had something in a window with someone looking in we can see their desire for wanting it. We have used an over the shoulder angle so we are able to see from their point of view of something. Even though we have used an over the shoulder we have centred the attention to the phone, we can see the angle that her glasses are looking which makes it clear that that it is what shes looking at and that is what she is desiring 

Danger -

This shoot we used a low angle even though she was still up high, we thought the danger because she is on a climbing frame high up and she could easily fall an hurt herself. By pointing the ale at a low angle it makes her look more higher and more likely to fall putting herself in more danger and she is also not holding on to the bars so if she stats to fall she has nothing to use to stop herself. 

Wealth - 

Instead of handing the image to the audience on a plate and just showing a picture of loads of money we thought we could use jelwery to show the details in it so people can use their imagionation and guess how much the owner actually spent on it. We used a birds eye view angle to get all the detail in ti and show all of the gems and chrystals. 

Weakness - 

We used a different approach we used the physical approach, we didn't want to always base things about emotion we done it about physical weakness. not only can weakness be classified as strength but it can also be emotions, when a boy cried most people tell them to stop being weak. We used an eye level shot to show the person with the more cups is more happier than the person with only one. 

Friendship - 

We used a low angle shot for this shoot to show that a friendship is powerful, we thought of a little silly image because friends embrace each other for who they are and they love each other for their silliness and doesnt car what anyone else things as long as their happy to b friends than thats all that matters. 

purity - 

We wasn't too sure what to do for this one so when we found out that it meant innocence we instantly thought  of the park as its for little kids as they are too young to do anything extremely bad so we connected the swings with innocently, we thought about our childhood memories and we both agreed everytime we went to the park we always went on the swings. For this we used a wide angle so we could fit the whole body in the image to show what the person is doing and we can tell by body language how that person is feeling. 

Greed - 

For greed we didn't want to do the normal thing of greed of money so we done a greed of food, with this eye level image we are able to see the surrounding of the amount of crisps that are on the floor around the person. We can see how happy the person is to be surrounded by the amount that is around her.
