Evaluation of your Continuity Sequence

Our induction task was to include 20 shots which included loads of different settings, scenes, lighting and angles. As a group we decided to focus on an object being stolen, in our case it was a set of key. We have had the shot of keys being put into a change of hands from the victim, the thief and to the policeman. Rather than only having one thing happen we have had a series of things happen, from a person losing their keys, realising they have been stolen to the policeman finding the thief and returning the keys back to their owner.

We also used a number of angles in this short video a couple of examples are long shot, close up and low angle.
We used a low angle for when the policeman is putting on his hat to make him look powerful and ready to take on the job he has ahead of him.
For the close up shot we done a close up on the keys when they are being stolen by doing this the audience are able to see clearly what is happening whereas if we done it from a wide angle they may not have been able to see because they might be focused on something else that is in the frame which is not what we want. Another example of a close up shot is at the end where the policeman gets the thief to the floor and takes the keys, by having a close up we are able to see the thiefs facial expressions and we can also see the policeman taking the keys back.
